Okay ladies, I am sure that almost all of you have fallen in love with Smokey eye look. It is a wonderful look to wear out on the town, or even for a romantic dinner. However, did you know that you can also wear this look on your wedding day? You may choose to have the smoky eye look a bit more subtle for your wedding day, or you may like to amp it up a bit.. It all really depends on you!
Your groom-to-be will fall backwards (hopefully, not literally!) when you walk down the aisle to say “I DO!” You will be inviting him to the honeymoon all day without having to say a word. What is sexier than this makeup technique? Nothing!
Step One: Apply a creamy concealer all over your eyelids. Applying a concealer to your eyelids creates a smooth canvas allowing your eye shadow to stick and last all day.
Step Two: Gently sweep a pressed or loose powder over your eyelids. The powder will minimize your eye shadow from creasing, and you surly don’t want that to happen on your wedding day!
Step Three: Using your favorite black eyeliner pencil, trace the top of your lash line from the inner corner to the outer corner. Repeat for your lower lashes.
Step Four: Smudge your eyeliner (on both your top and bottom lash lines) using a blending brush, Q-tip, or sometimes there is a sponge on the other side of the eyeliner, you can use that if there is one.
Step Five: It is now time to create the classic charcoal look. Use your favorite Trio ‘Smokey Eye” eye shadow and sweep the lightest color of eye shadow across your entire eye lid.
Step Six: Use the medium shade of eye shadow in your ‘trio’ and blend it halfway across your eyelid. It is important that you blend eye shadow upward and outward into the crease of your eyelids.
Step Seven: Sweep the darkest shade of your ‘trio’ eye shadow onto the outer corner of your eyes as well as into your eye creases with your fluffiest blending brush. Make sure that you make it dark so it creates an intense yet sexy look.
Step Eight: Highlight your eyes natural angels as well as create contrast simply by applying a small amount of the lightest shade of the ‘trio’ eye shadow over your brow bone.
Step Nine: Use the darkest shade in your ‘trio’ and gently brush a small amount under your eyes close to your bottom lash lines to balance the intensity.
Step Ten: Finish your look with jet black mascara.
It is recommended that you practice this makeup technique well before your big day. Play around with different colors and shades until you find the perfect ones! Or, if you don’t feel comfortable doing your own makeup on your wedding day, you can always Brides Etc! They Are your answer for bridal beauty!
Sara entered my contest back in the spring and she really wanted to win, because on her wedding day she didn’t get enough great shot’s because it was raining. Sara entered and won! She wanted to bring her husband along for the session also. The couple met in college, after that Mike moved out East for 2 years and they did the long distance thing, that proved to be super difficult for them! Eventually Mike moved back to Ontario and that’s when things got serious. Sara soon moved in and they set a date to be married. They have big dreams over moving further north and buying a big property and having lots of puppies and babies to fill their home. Congrats to you both! May all your dream come true!
Danielle is one of those people with the most infectious smiles and laughs. She really lights up a room when she walks in. She is stunning and such a great lady, and Mike and her really compliment each other so well. I had the honor of capturing their big day. Here is a sneak peek.
Priya and Nem recently returned to Canada after being abroad for the past year. Nem is a Pro basket ball player in Europe, and they have been living in Spain for the last year. They are now planning their wedding for next July. I loved how they were dressed so well and their outfit coordinated so beautifully! They were relaxed and truly enjoyed their engagement session! I look forward to photographing their wedding next July!
Adele and Scott joined their hands and said yes to loving each other forever! Their family is such a big part of their lives, they really wanted to let that be known with all the displays they had at their venue. A real tribute to both sets of parents and grandparents. The love was shared both ways, as many song’s and lovely words were shared during the evening.
It all started at the church! Scott waited patiently for Adele to arrive. Well, maybe not that patiently:)
The bus was late, so Adele and Scott and their family decided to head over to an Irish Pub for a cool drink
Then we headed over to the Burlington water front for a stroll
The Grand Entrance
Then there was dinner
Also some dancing
Congratulations to you both!
Wow, what an amazing day Adele & Scott had yesterday! The sun was shinning, it wasn’t too hot. The perfect day for a wedding. Boy did they have a beautiful wedding. This pair is full of fun and their love for each other is clear to see. It all started for the couple when Scott asked to sit beside Adele on a bus tour, they happen to both be on. Their conversation went on for hours. The pair hit it off and then Scott asked Adele to be his gym buddy. Little did he know that all throughout school she really didn’t like gym class. Well, that all changed when Scott came into the picture. These 2 have been inseparable ever since. Here’s a sneak peek from their big day..
